Matt Bowbridge | Partner

What’s Your Specialty?
I specialise in working with business owners to help them understand the tax and financial side of their business. This could be anything from advising on a business structure for a new business, to providing tax and business advice for established businesses.
Industry Experience & Expertise?
I have been working in public practice for 14 years, with 18 years as an accountant. I am a CPA and have a Bachelor of Commerce (in accounting and finance). Prior to working in public practice, I worked as a management accountant in the mining industry.
Most Memorable Result?
Working with a client from the point that they were an employee, through the process of setting up their own business, then supporting and advising the client as they built the business to a multi-million dollar business. It is very rewarding to see all the hard work for the client paying off for them.

Set up and liaising with small business clients to ensure correct tax structure is established and discussions with clients to improve their business operations.

Over 30 years helping business owners save tax and move forward in their lives.
Most Memorable Result?
Having worked in the industry for so long, I have had the privilege of working with many individuals and businesses, so coming up with one highlight can be difficult. One that comes to mind is that I was recently able to successfully object to ATO penalties and interest charged to a client, where over $80,000 was refunded.

I specialise in SMSF’s and business accounts.
Industry Experience & Expertise?
I have worked in public practice for 22 years. I am a CA with a Bachelor of Business.
Most Memorable Result?
I recently worked with a client who’s business profits had increased over $200K from the prior year. Before year end we discussed using the catch up super contributions as the clients had a low super balance and had made no deductible super contributions in the prior years. By applying this strategy, I was able to save the client over $28K in income tax.
Sheryll Harrild | Senior Accountant

What’s Your Specialty?
Experienced in using MYOB and Xero and assisting client with issues with their accounting software.
Industry Experience & Expertise?
I have been a tax accountant since 2002. I have a Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)
Most Memorable Result?
I had clients whose business had grown rapidly, including their profits. I advised the clients to move their business from a trust to a company structure. Due to the lower tax rate, and other depreciation advantages (which were implemented through Covid), I was able to save the client $65,000 in income tax in the first year alone.
Anil Karnavat | Accountant

What’s Your Specialty?
Individual, trust and company tax returns. Expert in the setup and training for Xero and implementing app integration for a wide variety of businesses to run their business more efficiently and effectively.

I have worked in public practice for 8 years. I have a Master of Professional Accounting and am currently working towards being a Chartered Accountant.
Most Memorable Result?
I recently had a client who was two years behind in their tax lodgement and had no accounting system to track their profits. I took the financial data, input it into Xero and had all their tax obligations successfully lodged with the ATO within an extended deadline. This was a great result for the client, who was overwhelmed by their tax issues.
